Founded and run by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), our leadership team strives to provide the highest level of support to children and their families with a team that meets the highest qualifications. Our crew is made up of Registered Behavior Technicians, who have previous experience working with neuro-diverse clients. Just like we ask children and parents to do, each team member models a growth mindset and passion for learning.

Cristina G. Carlson
- CEO
- M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
In her 25 year career, Cristina has worked with clients across the spectrum ages 1-22. Her passion and commitment for helping neurodivergent children and their families started when she completed her Bachelor’s in Special Education and Master’s in Low Incidence Special Education from Northern Arizona University. After spending time in the field as a special education teacher, Cristina transitioned to private practice in hopes of making a greater impact and providing the support children and families desperately need. She believes in the power of constantly learning and improving. That is why she continues her education and training throughout her career. She earned a graduate certificate in Positive Behavior Support and Autism, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), completed Division TEACCH training, as well as Level I clinical training in Social Thinking.


Justin James

Justin James, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, is an experienced and highly skilled behavior analyst who has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities for 13 years. As a former teacher, Justin has a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities.
As a board-certified behavior analyst and licensed behavior analyst in the state of Arizona, Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work with clients. He incorporates acceptance and commitment training (ACT) into his daily clinical practice and activities, helping his clients achieve their goals and live meaningful lives.
Justin is also a board member of the Arizona chapter of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), an organization that promotes the use of contextual behavioral science to improve human well-being.
In addition to his work in the field, Justin is a Ph.D. student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where he studies International Psychology with an emphasis on organizations and systems. He is passionate about promoting social justice and inclusivity, and he has a particular interest in the development of inclusive neurodivergent communities.
Justin is also dedicated to destigmatizing mental health issues and works tirelessly to raise awareness and reduce barriers to accessing mental health care. With his diverse background and expertise, Justin is an invaluable member of the Creative Therapy Solution team.


Alexis Bailey
- Director of Operations
Alexis has over 12 years of experience in the field of ABA as a Direct Care Provider, Registered Behavior Technician, Field Trainer, and Operations Director prior to joining the Creative Crew at Creative Therapy Solution. She studied Liberal Studies with a minor in Special Education at Sacramento State while gaining her Registered Behavior Technician Certification in Northern California. Alexis made the move to the administration side in 2017 and is responsible for helping Creative Therapy Solution grow by creating relationships with families and professionals, as well as making sure the day-to-day operations are running smoothly. She oversees process development, billing, scheduling, and business management tasks to ensure clients and clinicians are taken care of and supported administratively. When making the transition to CTS, Alexis was asked, “Why CTS?” She eagerly responded with, “At Creative Therapy Solution, I am able to work alongside creative and like-minded professionals who hold true to the company values of Fun, Growth, Acceptance, and Inclusion. With this, I know we will ensure everyone will be seen and heard.”

- Passion: I have a passion for working with people to reach their goals and to discover what motivates I love the science of ABA and appreciate working in a field where I can combine both of these passions. CTS provides me a space to promote inclusion for children and help them to advocate for their wants and needs.
- Interests: Some of my favorite things include CrossFit, hiking & visiting the ocean. I love spending my free time with my husband and two children.

- Passion: I am passionate and eager to be in this field and watch each client blossom into their own. I love CTS because we are a person-first industry that utilizes each client’s interest and embeds it into each session.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Scottsdale, AZ 85260
- $17-$25/hr
- Full-time

Requirements
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field. Candidates with incomplete degrees will be considered based on experience.
- Complete a fingerprint clearance card.
- Complete a 40-hour training program (conducted by a BACB certificant) based on the RBT Task List.
- Pass the RBT Competency Assessment
- Reliable transportation (proof of valid driver’s license and auto insurance required)
- Must be able to travel to multiple work sites, including offices, homes, schools, and other locations in the community.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 35 pounds.
- The position requires physically prompting clients and requires the ability to move quickly from one location to another to support the client and staff. In addition, transitioning from a seated position on the floor to standing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, bending, and reaching.
- All employees are expected to follow all safety rules and policies.
- Pass a criminal background check.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct implementation of skill acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor.
- Accurately completes all required documentation and data collection daily.
- Complete online billing accordingly to the insurance codes authorized and submit in the specified timeframe.
- Meets regularly with Supervisor and participates in consultations in-person with client and BCBA.
- Attend introductory and ongoing training.
- Communicates in a professional, confidential, and respectful manner with clients, parents, behavior analysts, and other members of the community.

Clinical Director

Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, applied behavior analysis, or related field.
- Current license for professional field of practice (state-licensed and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst)
- Must meet the requirements for the BACB supervision credentials.
- 5+ years of experience in a clinical role as a BCBA for this field of practice (applied behavior analysis, or ABA)
- 3+ years of clinical director experience developing and supervising treatment programs for children with autism in this field of practice.
- Ability to maintain fingerprint clearance card, CPR & First Aid certification.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with autism spectrum disorders.
- Advanced knowledge, skills, and experience within this professional field of practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Clear enthusiasm and positive attitude towards collaborating with others and working together as a team.
- Strong ability to multi-task, independently plan, and organize own activities to prioritize daily workloads.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Promotes company vision, values, and goals among the clinical team.
- Lead clinical staff by monitoring performance outcomes, delegating tasks, and reviewing performance to meet goals and objectives.
- Ensure that the clinical integrity of client programs and services are maintained.
- Develop, instruct, and oversee educational training initiatives for clients and parents.
- Collaborates with other departments to identify training needs, assists with developing training resources, and ensures the delivery of regularly occurring training/CEUs across the platform, including ACE requirements.
- Implement, supervise, and/or train on the implementation and supervision of comprehensive assessments and annual reassessments of current and potential clients.
- Oversee RBT supervision to ensure compliance with BACB guidelines and requirements for those pursuing BCBA certification.
- Oversees BCBA utilization and caseloads and works with the leadership team to maintain billable hours on caseload, case transitions, etc.
- Foster relationships with community partners such as organizations, special interest groups, school districts, university programs, government agencies, or other entities that can help advance the organization’s mission and goals.
- Consistently work towards and achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals as specified in growth and action plans.
- Resolves daily and weekly clinical and billing/session issues and reports any critical concerns to the leadership team.
- Provides/arranges coverage for clinical supervision and support with case transitions, leave management, turnover, etc.
- Maintains knowledge of profit and loss and understands how clinical function impacts the organization’s overall health.
- Assists in hiring/terminations and performance management.
- Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
